Stealing Cthulhu

Graham Walmsley, author of the Purist Adventures such as the Dying of St Margaret’s and Cthulhu Apocalypse, is writing a book of GM advice for Lovecraftian roleplaying games called Stealing Cthulhu. It’s festooned with marginalia by gaming luminaries such as Jason Morningstar and Ken Hite and it’s available for pre-order with options for perks over on indiegogo. You get the PDF the moment it’s ready: it’s in the final stage of layout now.

To get a better idea, have a look at the following previews.

I made a contribution today, and received an e-mail from IndieGoGo confirming my contribution. But I haven’t received a single link to the PDF download?

… you write “you get the PDF now.” Is that now or in a few days? :)

As soon as it’s done. Probably the beginning of June.

I think there was a miscommunication between Simon and me about the PDF. I can’t offer the PDF yet, because it’s possible someone might pay me to add a creature to it.

I’m also still putting the finishing touches to the PDF. The text is done, but every time I go through it, I add footnotes and the whole thing gets richer.

Many apologies for the miscommunication. I’ll change the post.

      I’ll ask Graham.

    Super OK! :)

What a wonderful idea. Great contents and rich set of options to get the funding in on IndieGoGo. Keep it up and you will clearly continue to be able to release this stuff.

Yep, just pre-ordered this as it sounds so cool. What with this applied to Trail of Cthulhu, and Ashen Stars, my gaming group is going fully GUMSHOE.
