Acceptable Losses

System: Standalone, freeform

Author: Tova Näslund

Deadline: August 15th

Description:

A family drama set in a dystopian future. Humanity lives in self-sustaining buildings, large enough to supply hundreds of thousands of people. On the other hand, a family that doesn’t fill their work quota are sent down a floor, to the even worse slums below.

In the tougher lower floors live the Witkins, a close family of maintenance workers. Over the years you’ve adopted a family motto: the Witkins don’t ask for help, they earn it. But you’re in dire straits, crippled with debt and due to be forced down a floor in the next five days. One of you has a means of escape – a promotion, through marriage. Do you all move down together – or do you split the family?

    Hi Cat,
I hope you are well rested from Gencon! I am planning to be at Metatopia and the U-Con conventions in November. I’d like to run some Pelgrane games that need play testing. My preference is NBA, Ashen Stars, ToC, then any others including the standalones that get periodically presented. Let me know if there are any available! If not, I will plan to run my own Ashen Stars and NBA games to fine-tune them. Take care,
    Mel

Communist oppression? I hope that Franco’s forces might also be suspects in Soldiers of Pen & Ink.
